SPEED Courier provides domestic services in all the regions of Malawi. Delivering beyond customers expectation with fast service and affordable service as our core values. In order to maintain a good relationship with our valued clients as we endeavour to provide this service, the following terms and conditions of carriage shall apply:
1. Unacceptable Courier Article
SPEED COURIER & LOGISTICS LTD cannot convey any article that falls under prohibited items policy of the company, such as articles include but are not limited to: animals, cash, currency, precious stones and metals, fire arms, ammunition, human remains, pornographic material, illegal drugs and any item considered offensive to the public or according to the law.
2. Deliveries and Undeliverable
SPEED COURIER also does provide door to door service hence these parcels shall be delivered to their premises. SPEED COURIER shall retain to consigners cost all articles whose consignee cannot be reasonable identified or located. Any goods or parcel laying in the warehouse up to three months without collection or identification would be considered as abandoned.
3. Inspection
SPEED COURIER & LOGISTICS LTD reserves the right to open and inspect any articles in the presence of the consignor.
4. Parcel Charges
All parcels shall be charged according to weight and destination of collection. The consignor shall pay or reimburse all claims, damages, fines and expenses incurred if the parcel is deemed unacceptable for conveyed goods as stipulated in section 1.
5. Speed Courier Liability
Speed Courier & Logistics carries goods in transit policy which is provided through its insurance provider. Any item damaged during in transit in case of accident or fire shall be claimed and compensated through speed couriers insurance provider. All items to be sent must be packed properly as poor packaging claims will not be accepted. All fragile items including: glass, food items e.t.c Speed Courier liability on all articles tendered for conveyance is not liable to indirect losses. Time sensitive articles are sent at owners risk and we shall not compensate die to any delays as time bound items are at owners risk. No claim for loss of future business interest, profit on time bound articles e.g. tender documents, prequalifications and any other related items due to time bound shall not be claimable.
6. Claim must be submitted within 7 days
7. Delivery/Delayed couriers
SPEED COURIER will make every reasonable effort to deliver/ convey courier to its destination/schedules within reasonable time. However, Speed Courier may not guarantee delivery very of articles at any specific time.
8. Lost Parcel
Lost parcel will be compensated with 20% of total value stated on the waybill. If no amount stated, it will be compensated with K10,000.00 for a package and for an envelope K3,850.00
